Thorne Wellness LLC – Megan Thorne
My name is Megan Thorne.
I’m a Tampa native, and I love living in Tampa!
I am a licensed massage therapist and owner of Thorne Wellness.
In April of 2018, I graduated at the top of my class from Cortiva Institute in St. Petersburg, FL.
After working for a few spas and chiropractors, I eventually ended up working for Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa. I became one of the top requested therapists at both Carrollwood and Wesley Chapel locations.
Eventually, I decided to start my own massage therapy practice, Thorne Wellness.
So, here I am, living the dream, and doing exactly that!
I absolutely love what I do. It doesn’t end with massage therapy either.
My next endeavor is personal training.
Fitness is a huge part of my life.
I’m a boxer and a weightlifter.
I would also love to become a yoga instructor. Yoga has helped me in a lot of different ways.
I also really enjoy rollerblading and kayaking.
I’m so grateful to be part of this wonderful field of healing and wellness, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes me!
I love to work with athletes because, I am one myself.
Car accident victims are great clients for me because, I have worked for 2 chiropractors that specialize in auto accident rehab.
I also love to work with prenatal and postpartum moms.
My personal favorite service that I offer is Himalayan salt stone massage. This is a Swedish or Deep Tissue massage with hot Himalayan salt stones. The benefits of this massage are detoxification, exfoliation, and deep relaxation.
Another popular service that I offer is Bamboo-Fusion® massage. This is a Swedish or Deep Tissue massage with warm bamboo sticks. The benefits of this massage are stimulation of blood flow, increased skin elasticity, and deep relaxation.
I also offer Percussive Therapy, which is targeted for athletes, but can be very beneficial for many clients. This massage is done with a Theragun (massage gun) as well as hands on work. The benefits of this massage are stimulation of blood flow, reduction of scar tissue, and improved range of motion. Theragun allows for deeper work without causing as much soreness as a traditional Deep Tissue massage.
