People often ask, "How did I become a financial advisor?"
I let them know about how one of my favorite classes in high school was one that isn't often discussed anymore, home economics.
The reason it was one of my favorites was that we had a portion of the class dedicated to investing in the stock market every week.
I played sports growing up and always had a competitive side, so the ability to compare my allocation to my peers was exciting. We also learned about budgeting/balancing a check book in the course as well, which may not have been my favorite part of the course at the time but was extremely valuable. A lot of the early lessons that I learned in that class sparked my interest in becoming a financial advisor.
Over the years, my passion for advising my clients has only grown. People who I assist often have experienced; a recent career change, recently retired, are planning for an upcoming retirement or are just wanting to review their current investment strategy. I can help you strategically align your finances with what really matters in life.
After nine years of working at other firms in financial services, I decided to make the transition to Edward Jones.
I realized Edward Jones provided me a place where I felt like family and where my clients would as well.
I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, and graduated college from the Ohio University. I currently reside in the Countryside neighborhood of Clearwater with my beautiful wife, Cara, and three kids (9, 6 and 4). You will typically find me hiking, walking my two dogs or at the Countryside little league fields where I volunteer as a coach.
