Cary Reich is the founder of Sound Branding Ideas and has been creating memorable jingles and sonic branding since 1985. Over the course of four decades, Cary has produced thousands of successful campaigns for clients across the United States, helping brands clarify their identity and connect with audiences through distinctive, emotionally resonant sound. His creative approach consistently brings clients fresh perspective, encouraging them to see their businesses from a customer-focused point of view. Cary has collaborated with radio and television stations nationwide and contributed branding and jingle work to major companies including Budweiser, Firestone, Gold’s Gym, Goodwill, and YMCA, as well as local favorites Suncoast Chrysler, Acree Air and RGA’s very own theme song.
In addition to his commercial work, Cary has built an extensive portfolio as a performer, arranger, producer, and musical director. His performance and publishing credentials include serving as Musical Director for the Jewish Media Relations Council, where he produced services, albums, and community programs. He also wrote and performed contemporary music for Sounds Write Productions, collaborating with internationally recognized artists such as Debbie Friedman. Cary’s work extended into the regional jazz scene as keyboard player and musical director for Kool Reflektions, a Florida-based jazz favorite. Under his direction, the group opened for major acts including George Benson, Branford Marsalis, and Joe Sample. These experiences gave Cary a deep foundation in composition, arrangement, studio production, and live performance—skills that continue to inform his work in brand sound design today.
Cary’s formal education shaped both his business acumen and his creative outlook. He graduated at the top of his class from the University of Florida School of Business, where he balanced academic achievement with extensive musical involvement. While at UF, he performed and produced for the Vocal Jazz Troupe, gaining early experience in ensemble direction and recording. He also embraced one of the university’s most beloved traditions by serving as “Albert the Alligator,” the school’s official mascot. His time at UF combined leadership, creativity, and school spirit—qualities that became hallmarks of his professional identity.
Beyond his business and musical achievements, Cary has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to service and community engagement. Over the years, he has volunteered directly with organizations such as United Way of Pinellas County, Pinellas Cares, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Girls Inc., the American Cancer Society, and the First Tee of St. Petersburg. Cary has contributed not only as a volunteer but also as a board member for several nonprofits, including Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Pinellas County, the Pinellas County Jewish Day School, Congregation B’nai Israel, and The First Tee of St. Petersburg, where he continues to serve. His dedication has been recognized through awards such as Big Brother of the Year and the Young Leadership Award from Congregation B’nai Israel.
Cary’s involvement extends to the local business community as well. He is an active Ambassador for the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce, where he helps connect local entrepreneurs, promote community partnerships, and support initiatives that strengthen the regional business ecosystem. His deep ties to both the creative and business communities make him a valuable resource for organizations developing their brand voice or seeking guidance on how to integrate music into their marketing strategies.
Family is a central part of Cary’s life and identity. He has been married for 35 years and is the proud father of three talented children who share his love of the arts. His two older children have performed on Broadway and in Broadway National Tours, continuing a family tradition of musical and theatrical accomplishment. His younger son is an accomplished musician and golfer who is currently studying mechanical engineering at Florida State University. Cary’s support for the arts, education, and youth development is reflected not only in his professional work but in the paths his children have chosen.
Throughout his career, Cary has remained driven by a belief in the power of sound to shape emotion, identity, and connection. Whether he is composing a jingle for a national brand, arranging music for a community organization, or mentoring young creatives, his work is rooted in a rare combination of business insight, artistic talent, and genuine enthusiasm for helping others tell their story. Cary approaches each project with the same passion that first drew him to music—an understanding that a well-crafted melody can make a brand unforgettable and that the right sound can communicate what words alone cannot.
Today, Cary continues to lead Sound Branding Ideas with a focus on innovation, collaboration, and authenticity. He works closely with clients to understand their values, audience, and personality, transforming that knowledge into audio branding that reflects who they are and what they stand for. His decades of experience have positioned him as a trusted partner to businesses seeking to differentiate themselves through sound—a brand-building tool that is more important than ever in a crowded and competitive marketplace.
At its core, Cary’s story is one of creativity, community, and commitment. From his early days performing in jazz ensembles to his leadership in the jingle industry, from his volunteer efforts to his family’s artistic achievements, Cary brings energy and heart to everything he does. His work has touched thousands of businesses and countless individuals, leaving a lasting soundtrack to the stories they tell.
